Nothing makes a home smell better than the crockpot simmering all day long with a special meal brewing inside. It’s also nice as a mom to throw everything you can into a crockpot and know that dinner is on its way and you don’t have to come up with something later.

Simple and easy ingredients to buy from the grocery store and cubed steak is never an expensive item. It just has to be slow cooked all day for the ultimate tenderness and taste!

All spices are added to taste and your preference. You may have a special meat seasoning that would work perfect with this recipe, add it in there and take away the seasoned salt. I go lightly on the salt because the soups and packaged mixes usually have a lot of sodium so add at your discretion depending on you or your family’s dietary needs.

Chop up and boil your potatoes when there is half an hour left of your crockpot meal to cook, mix and mash as you normally would do. If you have room in your crockpot the potatoes can also be sliced and placed on top of the meat if you prefer and do not eat mashed potatoes.

Crockpot Cubed Steak

Cook this meal all day and it will fall apart with a touch of your fork!

Ingredients

  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 bag small carrots
  • 1 package mushrooms sliced
  • 2-3 pounds cubed steak as per your household
  • 2 cans beefy mushroom soup
  • 1 package beefy onion dry soup
  • 1 box beef broth
  • 1 package mushroom gravy
  • 1 tbsp pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp garlic to taste
  • 1 tbsp parsley to taste
  • 1 tbsp seasoned salt to taste
  • 1 pound potatoes cooked on stove

Recipe Notes

1. The cubed steak meat needs to be coated in flour on both sides, salt and pepper to taste and seared on medium heat for 1-2 minutes each before put into the crockpot.
2. Put the meat in first, then onions, carrots, mushrooms, soup cans and mixes, spices all to taste, top off with beef broth.
3. Cook on low for 7 hours, boil your potatoes to mash when ready.

To maintain ultimate juiciness and flavor you HAVE to coat with flour and sear the meat shortly before putting into the crockpot. It works everytime and I guarantee after at least 7 hours of cooking in the crockpot it will fall apart with a touch of your fork.
This is one of my favorite recipes to make and everyone seems to enjoy. Make your gravy from the beef broth in the crockpot after you pull out all of the meat and vegetables at the end. Heat up your favorite rolls or bread!
